UBC Summer Scholars Program at the Okanagan Campus

The Summer Scholars Program is aimed at giving students a solid foundation in environmental science and sustainability. Gain valuable hands-on experience while being taught by top UBC faculty and researchers who are experts in the field. Teen Art Residency Program

Designed for students interested in the visual arts, the program encourages students from away to discover the seaside city of Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada while attending summer art classes. nscad.ca/extendedstudies/youth

Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA - 2 options:

Western Scholars Invitational – July 17-19 – Open to students entering their senior year

Western Scholars Invitational is a three-day, two-night summer program geared towards to-be seniors that demonstrate exceptional academic promise. The WSI experience provides a well-rounded view of collegiate life, including classroom discussions, faculty presentations, and a peak into the daily lives of Western students.

The Western Scholars Invitational will be held on July 17 – July 19, 2011. You can find the application online at http://admissions.wwu.edu/wsi. We recognize that students are talented in different areas and we are flexible with who we admit to the program. We would love to consider them for this opportunity. Each year we have over 150 students from across the country attend, with a majority of participants coming from outside the state of Washington.

College Quest – July 10-15 – Open to students entering grades 10-12

College Quest is a summer college experience for students entering grades 10-12. Students are able to live in a resident hall, complete a special interest course taught by WWU faculty, and earn one college credit. Students experience the reality of university life – from dorm to classroom – during this motivating and powerful program. Gain valuable "success in college" information, form extraordinary social connections that come with life in a residence hall and strengthen the college application portfolio.

Choose from a diverse range of course topics including Dance, Conditioning and Choreography, Criminal Law & Justice, Film/Video Production, Environmental Science & Sustainability and Behavioral Neuroscience.Early registration is encouraged to reserve your favorite course topic. CCA 2012 Summer Art Programs - 2 options:

Pre-College Program: Immerse yourself in a college-level curriculum and become part of a creative community, meeting and working with other talented, serious students from diverse backgrounds. Study art or creative writing in an art school setting while earning 3 units of college credit. Location: Oakland campus. Summer High School English + Design Program: especially created for international students who would like to further develop their English language and art/design skills and explore the city of San Francisco. This program is intended for international high school students who have completed the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade by summer 2012. Location: San Francisco campus. Stanford University Summer College

Stanford’s High School Summer College provides academic, social, and intellectual opportunities that cannot be found in a high school classroom. All program participants build their own schedule of challenging college-level courses that will be documented on an official Stanford University transcript.

USC 2012 Summer Programs for High School Students

USC offers students the opportunity to study for a month in Los Angeles though the USC Summer Programs, which introduces students to college life. Students explore Los Angeles as a laboratory

for recreational and cultural learning beyond the traditional classroom. Our course offerings are designed to combine college level course work, academic field trips, and structured recreational activities. UCLA Summer Programs

UCLA Summer Sessions and Special Programs offers summer programs to motivated high school students who would like to get a jump-start on their college career and gain enrichment in a variety of interesting and challenging subjects. Chapman Summer Film Academy

Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts offers a comprehensive, collaborative and creative high school film program that puts students at the center of the filmmaking process. California State Summer School for the Arts

The California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA) is a rigorous pre-professional training program in the visual and performing arts, creative writing, animation, and film for talented artists of high school age. CSSSA provides a supportive environment in which students hone acquired skills and explore new techniques and ideas for an intense and exciting learning experience. The School was created by the California Legislature, held its first session in 1987 and will conduct its 26th session in 2012. Its purpose is to provide a training ground for future artists who wish to pursue careers in the arts and entertainment industries in California. Northwestern University's High School Institute

The National High School Institute™, established in 1931, is the nation’s oldest and largest university-based summer program for outstanding high school students. Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD)

Two options:

SCAD Summer Seminars - offer workshops for high school students who have completed their freshman, sophomore or junior years. Students have the opportunity to gain a valuable educational experience while trying their hands at exciting art and design assignments and projects.

Pre-college: Rising Star - this challenging five-week program awards college credit to rising high school seniors who are ready for a summer college experience. Students enroll in two college-level classes and have the opportunity to build or enhance their visual arts portfolios.

Columbia University Summer High School Programs

Columbia University offers rigorous summer pre-college academic programs for students entering grades 9 through 12 and freshman year of college in New York City, Barcelona, and the Middle East. Tisch (NYU) Summer High School

During the summer the Tisch School of the Arts offers high school students the chance to participate in intensive training either in New York City or Dublin. In each of our four-week programs, students are enrolled in rigorous and highly structured college-level courses taught by our full-time faculty. Upon successful completion of the summer program, students earn six college credits, all fully accredited New York University courses. School of Creative and Performing Arts Summer Intensives for High School Students

Boston Summer Institute at Suffolk University

Guided Tours of Colleges and Universities

TS College Tours was established to better serve students attending high schools outside the United States who wish to attend college or university in the US or Canada. Teen Travel Programs
