Sam Houston State University, just one hour north of Houston, Texas, offers intensive 8-week sessions, at our English Language Institute (ELI) that allows students to prepare quickly for the academic English they need for our 80+ undergraduate programs. Some of our most popular undergrad programs are Business Administration, International Business, Economics, and Political Science. ELI students who finish Levels 4 and 5 are offered a waiver for the TOEFL iBT/IELTS English proficiency requirement and receive conditional admission for all undergraduate programs.
This summer we are offering a 4-week English and Cultural Immersion Program which includes fun activities and trips to Houston and surrounding areas.
