The Summer Humanities Institute will begin accepting applications from rising high school juniors and seniors in November. SHI students spend three weeks on Stanford's campus exploring questions that lie at the heart of the humanities through group discussions and daily classes with Stanford faculty. Courses for 2015 focus on history (June 21 – July 10) and philosophy & literature (July 13 – August 1).

The application deadlines are February 4 (early) and March 11 (regular), and admission is need-blind. Need-based financial aid is available.
