If you are interested in visiting U.S. schools this summer, one option is COLLEGE VISITS, whose mission is to help participants make an educated choice of where they want to spend some of the most important years of their lives. Every year, hundreds of students participate on more than 25 different trips to campuses throughout the United States and Canada. The Value of the Liberal Arts: An Evening Presentation

On the evening of Thursday, May 3, 2018, Taipei American School will host Bowdoin College, Haverford College, and Vassar College for an evening program starting at 6:30pm. Informally titled “The Value of the Liberal Arts,” the evening will entail several components. First, the evening will begin with a workshop on the college essay before the presenters will move on to a discussion of liberal arts institutions. Subsequently, they will move into brief presentations about each of their schools before concluding with a mini-college fair where students and parents can ask questions. The event is open to the public. That said, advanced registration is required. Follow this link to register.

Introducing Nagoya University of Commerce & Business (NUCB)

Nagoya University of Commerce & Business (NUCB) is only 1 of 3 schools in Japan to be accredited by AACSB, putting us in the top 5% of business schools worldwide.

We have four faculties; 
Management, Commerce, Economics, International Studies

We also have a 1-year language school. Starting April 2019, we will have a full English track for our International Business degree.


A major feature of our Nisshin campus is that the educational facilities and sports facilities are on a single campus which leads to an active student life. The main campus is approximately 1.5 times the size of Tokyo Disneyland and surrounded by beautiful nature.

Entrance is held twice a year, April & September and interview is held over Skype. 

1-year Japanese course - JLPT N5 - N3 level (Application Guide)
4-year undergraduate course - JLPT N2 or equivalent (Application Guide)

Global Girls Prep

Global Girls Prep offers unique, highly personalized college tours for young women with a wide range of interests and ambitions. They also run a Summer of Significance program for high school girls who want to be placed with feminist/social justice organizations or related academic programs in the U.S. for 2-8 weeks. We are actually in the midst of building a really interesting women's empowerment program exploring race, ethnicity, class and the history of U.S. public education at the University of Mississippi.

Jacobs University (Bremen, GERMANY) Summer Camp 2018

Jacobs University is excited to offer our international summer camp again in collaboration with the VDI (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure), Germany’s largest association of engineers. Together we will offer a number of workshops. The aim of the workshops is to enable students to dive into the big issues that modern societies face – from safeguarding the environment to future of democracy.

Time: July 29th – August 4th, 2018
Fees: 400 € (includes room & board, workshops and excursions)
Open to: high school students aged 14 or above

Yale Young Global Scholars Program (YYGS)

The Yale Young Global Scholars Program (YYGS) is a summer academic enrichment and leadership program that brings together outstanding high school students from around the world for intensive two-week sessions on Yale’s campus in New Haven and the Yale Center Beijing in China. YYGS offers six unique sessions in New Haven and one session in Beijing, China. The program really wants to recruit from Taiwan; full scholarship opportunities available for Taiwanese students. Application deadline: February 16, 2018.

TS College Tours 2018 Summer Tour Dates - Applications Now Open!

TS College Tours offers premier college and universities tour programs for international school students who wish to pursue post-secondary education in the US, Canada, and the UK. In fact, we are the only college tour provider that focuses exclusively on the unique needs and interests of international school students! For the summer of 2018, we will be offering 6 different programs - two different Northeast tours, a California Tour, a Canadian University Tour, a Midwest tour and a UK tour. Last year, all tours were filled by March - with some filled as early as mid-February - so we would encourage any interested students and parents to sign up early. 

Cooper Union Summer Art Intensive 2018

The Cooper Union Summer Art Intensive helps high school students prepare a portfolio for college applications, worthy of top undergraduate programs. Participants choose a two-day studio concentration, devoting the rest of the week to intensive drawing instruction and the study of contemporary art issues. 

USC Summer Programs for High School Students

"Live the Trojan Experience" with 4-week and 2-week courses available. Applications due March 23 for international students. There is also the USC Cinematic Arts School Summer Program, a 6-week program. Application deadline of April 6 for international students.

University of Toronto Global Citizenship Program

Over the course of three weeks, students (ages 15-18) will explore different elements of Global Citizenship and discover their place in an interconnected world. Email for more information. There are also Law and Medicine summer programs for high school students.

There are only a few spots left in Marist's Summer 2017 Pre-College Programs!

What is Marist Summer Pre-College?

  • Program offered to rising high school juniors and seniors in high school
  • 21 different courses offered on either New York or Italy campus
  • Choose 2- or 4-week options
  • Students earn 3-6 college credits 

Students can get a head start on college and benefit from the following:

  • Experience residential life on a college campus
  • Earn three transferable college credits
  • Meet like-minded students from around the world
  • Work in a small classroom environment led by Marist faculty

We are still accepting applications for all of our programs, but space is very limited for the following: Criminal Justice, Business, Sports Communication, and Fashion.

We've told you that Skidmore's Pre-College Program will give you a head start on college, with you in the driver's seat living and learning with other exceptional high school students from across the country and around the world.
