Stony Brook University's new summer residential program for international high school students, Explore Stony Brook, takes place July 7 - July 27, 2014. It offers students the opportunity to:*

  • Meet Stony Brook University faculty, attend lectures and seminars, earn academic credit and engage in hands-on guided research, experiments, and leadership projects.
  • Participate in cultural activities in Long Island and the New York metropolitan area, including visits to the United Nations headquarters, museums, and a Broadway show.
  • Take intensive English language classes and learn how to write a successful college essay.
Stony Brook University is ranked among the Top 1% in the world by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. We are also ranked among the top 20 best values in public colleges for non-resident students, according to Kiplinger Personal Finance. We are located only 100 kilometers east of New York City on the East Coast of the United States, close to major airports.
